are there flying cars in the future? I know they have one now. (not airplanes). There was also an anti gravity device created by a scientist but the Government covered it up.(figures).
Why cant they work on that, make it smaller, then put it in the flying car? Not a money issue either, uncle sam has enough to pay off our debt if they wanted too. it was just all a set number to figure by. They have the print shop for the money right there..LOL just kidding

Why would you want a flying car? People have enough trouble driving safely in two dimensions. I don't think they'd have a chance of success in three dimensions.

Every single thing known about gravity at this time says that anti-gravity is a fantasy. The problem with flying cars is that if it meets the safety requirements, it is too heavy to fly and if it is light enough to fly the wings are bulky (even folded into a trailer) There was one working design where the tail structure and wings (folded) were to be left at the airport, use the car to run around town, get back to the airport and fly home, but that totally violates how most people think about flying cars which is - escape traffic (maybe by taking off from the road) and also escape the risk of storms by landing and driving until past the storms.
Flight training takes hours, has practical requirements and the radio equipment alone for landing near a major airport (much less in) adds thousands of dollars to the cost.

There will almost certainly not be flying cars in the future because traffic control would be almost impossible. Just think of the chaos with no lanes or any kind of road to channel the flow of traffic. Just a confusing swarm of flying cars.

The statements about anti-gravity and government cover ups and money are not even plausible.

well..you are the victim of urban legend. there is no such thing as an anti gravity device as of yet. however, scientists have just discovered something called "black matter" and it will revolutionize physics. The secret might be in that field, to anti gravity generators. However, at this point, in our scientific knowledge, flying cars are impractical. There are prototypes, but they are extremely costly to fly and use lots of fuel.

Visit www.moller.com Their already fly, but still a few years before completion.
It should cost about 900000USD for one and it is planed that after 3 to 5 years the price should fall around 25000USD.
California already modify its laws to permit those skycars to work over there. BUt it will take some years to get special regulations setup for this new type of transportation.

umm i dont know about the anti-gravity conspiracy
but i do believe that future cars will fly or hover at the least thus reducing the need for rubber and also TRAFFIC jams are past issues...

i stole...

Forget the anti-gravity myth, can't happen. Flying cars would require energy, in a world where there are plenty of energy shortages. I don't think it is necessary, nor do I think it will happen.

this isn't exactly an astronomy question.
