it's the wavelength of the light the laser emits in nanometers (1 meter = 1 billion nanometers)

nm stands for "Nanometer"
Nanometer is 0.0000001 meter or one billionths of a meter.
Visible Light is the radation which we could see. Its wavelength ranges from 390nm-700nm, Violet to Red respectively. The smaller the wavelength, the more powerful and focus the light or radiation is. Your laser is 650nm so its a good bright red.
Anything lower than 390nm and higher than 700nm is invisible to us.

'Nano meter' or 10^-9 meters. 650 nm is .65 millionths of a meter. And it's a bright red laser ☺
