Absolutely yes.......never mind "as good as", but you can make them 'much better than' McDonalds. Get 1lb lean steak mince, very finely chop a small onion (or a couple of shallots), tablespoon of finely chopped fresh parsley, tablespoon of finely chopped fresh chives, tablespoon of tomato puree, 2 crushed cloves of garlic, freshly ground black pepper and half a teaspoon of salt, 2oz unsalted butter (optional). Mix all ingredients together well in a large bowl (get in there with your hands - don't be shy). Divide into equal amounts - depending on how thick you want the burgers to be - this should make between 4 and 8. form into pattys (burgers) and then cook! Takes a few minutes and these are healthy and delicious - especially BBQ'd. :)

PS: you can also add chopped chillies for a spicey burger. Any lean mince can be used eg. lamb, turkey, pork. 'Experiment' with seasonings etc. for different types of mince.

Enjoy!! :)

I personally think it is the opposite and that homemade even taste better. But it depends what restaurant and what ingredients you use. It just takes a little more time and the correct ingredients to make the best homemade burger, while at the same same, it being still healthy. Tips for great, and healthier homemade burger: -DO NOT buy hamburger patties from the store, make your own. Buy lean chunk of meat. And ground it up yourself, add pepper, onion, and other spices. If you don't have a grinder, just buy already ground meat. At least it won't have chemicals added like the store bought paddies do. -Buy Bakery fresh hamburger buns -toast your bun, that is what many fast food places do -Some other good things are: lettuce, tomato, dill pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayo, Cheddar cheese, cucumber etc.

You have become an addict to all the salt. You should have tried weening yourself off them slowly - say, only eating half the burger, then a quarter etc., You are conditioned now into thinking that only McDonalds make good burgers, they don't. If you knew what went into them, you wouldn't buy them!

Hi, Strawberry Icecream.

Here is the way to best burgers you'll ever taste.

Use, Steak mince = get it at butchers or supermarket etc

Half a cup of bread crumbs

1, Onion

1, Egg white this is to bind mixture.

Put mince into large mixing bowl, add in bread crumbs and Onion and mix with spoon of fingers. Then add egg white to help it stick together if required.

Roll out onto chopping bowl and cut into circles and put onto some grease proof paper and freeze in freezer. And just fry as normal when you get pecky. SUPPPPPPPPPPER!

Not only is it possible, but probable.

Just use extremely lean angus beef from the grocery store and make it yourself.

The problem with a McDonalds meal is that it lacks balance. Beef isn't inherently unhealthy, but couple that with soda (no value at all) and french fries (not so good for you) - that's where the problems come in. Then you have not enough vegatables/fruits and graines laced with preservatives. The key is to make it at home.

Go out into your backyard, scoop up a small pile of dog crap, place it on a bun, add mustard, ketchup, pickle and onion; and there you have it.

I don't have the nutritional value of dog poop handy but it must be higher than a McDonald's burger.

As a side note, I once played a joke on my ex-wife where I removed the meat from her McDonald's burger when she had left the table for a moment. She ate the whole thing without ever noticing.

Perfectly possible but it prompts another question and that is why would you want too. There is an old saying about McDonalds and that is 'buy one flush it down the toilet and cut out the middle man'

It would probably be difficult. They use special greasy, unhealthy oils that gives the burger the yummy taste.
Give it a try. :) Find out what kind of meat they use, pickles, etc.
