Dont have my alldata at home but i can still help you out.

P0301-P0304-8(4cyl-8cyl) are engine misfire codes, more than likly it has a bad distributor cap or some voltage leaking from the wires somewhere. Consider an ignition tune up with spark plugs wires cap coils and rotor. If you spray some water on the wires and rev the engine you should be able to hear and or see the leaks. Could be something else though.

I think P0352 is an egr system code. Fords are known for the DPFE sensor failing. Differential Pressure Feedback ExhaustGasRecuirculation sensor. Its a little vacuum valve. Have it tested or get a shop manual.

P1405 is a manufacturer specified trouble code, chances are its related to one or more of the other issues. P0XX and P2XX are standard and P1XX P3XX are defined by the manufacturer.

P0420. My favorite. Basically the misfire has been going on so long (check engine light flashing?) that your computer has detected failure of the catalytic converter. You can buy an aftermarket one but it wont be direct fit and will likly fail soon. Go for the OEM cat and save a hassle down the road. Very rarely a bad downstream oxygen sensor can set this code but id be willing to bet its the misfire.

Good luck either way.

P0301 and P03? are most likely misfire codes P0420 is a cat converter below threshold code and I would have to look up P1405 and P0352... You cannot continue driving a car with misfire because that over heats the cat converter and replacement emission devices Ford specific can be very expensive. Take it to a mercury technician or a guy who works on ford escorts. Some times it is just a breather hose that gets soft behind the throttle chamber. Good Luck

* Retarded spark timing
