My Dad took me out to the middle of a lake in a rowboat, picked me up and just tossed me into the water. It was easy once I got out of the bag.

Well i learned how to swim when i was 2 or 3. My dad would toss me into the middle of the swimming pool, saved me when i almost drown, and would repeat the whole process all over again. Yeah I learned quickly that way!

We live by the sea so when I was about 5 or 6 my mum started showing me how to swim on the swallow end of the beach. I learned how to swim but I prefer to use my own style while I'm in the water using all four paws.

I learned swimming too young to remember. In Netherlands it's compulsory for every child to learn how to swim before they can learn how to walk. The entire country is below sea level and technically under the water.

I just swam with a life jacket until i trusted myself to swim without one. Then i took lessons to learn all of the other strokes.

I grew up near a huge pool and spent summers there and in Fl. But could never swim.
I moved to a new town and there was a small pool and a new friend did not know I could not swim..he picked me up and threw me in and I swam!

my older brother and uncle took me and my little brother out to the creek found the deepest part and tossed us in kept doing that until we was swimming of course i took off right away my poor little brother though he still can't swim to this day

My mom took me to the YMCA. They had an infant program and I swam before I walked. She did that because we were going to get a pool and she wanted all of us to know how to swim BEFORE they dug that hole. My siblings and I have been waterbugs ever since.
