In theory it's possible to convert energy into matter, but nobody knows (as yet) how to do it. And, since E = mc², it takes a --huge-- amount of energy to create a very small amount of mass.

There is a type nuclear reaction called pair production that converts a very high energy photon (~electromagnetic wave) in to two particles. The most common example is a photon of energy >1.022 MEV changes into an electron and is anti-particle the positron.

Another way would be to use EM waves to accelerate a particle and have it collide and with another particle. If the mass of the products is greater than the mass of the reactants then you have converted energy into mass. Whether or not you consider this a "direct conversion" is a matter of opinion.

By elecrical energy if you mean electrostatic it is different matter, but in the well known phenomenon of Pair production, electromagnetic energy does get converted into pairs of a particle and antiparticle of non-zero rest mass. Such things happen in cosmic ray showers. In fact positron was experimentally discovered in this way only.

NO WAY!!!!!!!! How can you convert a non matter into matter? You can transfer electrical energy from one form of matter to another life for example from a metal wire to a metal plate, or from a wire to a fan which in turn changes it into mechanical energy.

In other words, how can we harness the electron movement in molecules or atoms to change into material recognized form? I believe this is done in chemistry by manipulating the particulate matter to bond with other matter through ion exchanges?
