KJ, do you mean 'green cover' as in grass, clover or other vegetation?

Or do you mean a cover of an area which is "green" as in environmentally conscious.

Two thoughts: I do not know landscaping, so why not go to a landscaper's website,

But I do think that the Japanese gravel/rock gardens of California (and of course Japan) are very sensible, since watering is totally unneccesary.

Now, the survey. . .present it with lots of hands on activities for the audience. Like, well, can't think of anything - well, bring in different kids of gravel, colored and otherwise, and bits of sod of different grass types - (if that is the intent of the question)
