It seems when you turn on the TV, listen to the radio, open the newspaper, look at a bus, walk down a street, there is some advertisement that wants you to purchase thier products.
So, is it easy or hard for you to save money? I try to and then they come out with an updated:
Taylor made driver, I-pod, TV, or some type of Gizmo that costs a bundle.
I went to Nordstroms and they have jeans that cost $210.00.
Urghhh....

ignore the advertising. you don't need that crap! they just tell you, you do.
it's easy to save money, if your only interested in what you need.

Since my father's death, I am the bread winner of the family beside i get only small salary and it's very hard for me to save money, however, I do a little savings. I ignore advertisement which is not important, i don't buy things which is not important.. e.g. latest model celphones, branded clothes.. i did not buy clothes in Dept. Stores which the price is 5 times higher compare to local market. Though it is not branded cloth, but the quality is almost the same and as long as it fits for me, it doesn't matter. With this, I save a little money for my own.

It's very hard for me to save money. I try to live within my means, and so far, I'm doing just fine. There's alot of things that I would like to have, but can't right now. Just one thing at a time.

Well, it is for me..
I'm still a student though..
You need motivation.. I saved up from the start of the year because I wanted an iPod. I wanted an iPod since I was young. So I scrimped and saved. I bought my iPod in April.

It's easy to save, it's hard to keep the wife from finding ways to get rid of the savings

The market these days is very attractive and tempting.
As long as I do not go shopping, I save.
But then I have to eat; so I do go for groceries; end up with more than I want.
And get tempted to more than groceries.

I think society wants us to spend-spend-spend. We must be consumers or we don't exist. So in this kind of society it's almost impossible to save a penny. Being able to save is up there with being a saint or something.

As long as I put the money somewhere where I can't find it or won't think about it though I've never been tempted to buy anything really expensive since my early teen years.

No. It's not easy to save money when you don't make enough to make ends meet to begin with. There's nothing leftover to save.

Just take 10% of your weekly pay and put it in saving and leave it there. If have direct deposit would be better.
You want miss it if you never see it.
