There are large amounts of modifications and upgrades for the Nissan VQ 3.5 liter engine, since it is one of the most commonly used and upgraded engines in the world. I would recommend that you stick with the intake and exhaust at first: cold air intake, throttle body spacer, headers, sport catalytic converters, cat-back exhaust. The intake is a major part, and it sounds like you already have that covered, so you're partly there. Once your warranty expires, move on to a modified ECU. In addition to this, lightening the car has the same effect as adding horsepower: carbon fiber body panels, lightweight brakes, and removal of unnecessary interior components will all make you FX35 faster and more agile.

Another approach is to lighten it. A lighter vehicle requires less force to make it accelerate a given amount. Remove anything you don't need, get the rest in GRP / carbon-fibre.
If you use re-chipping / a power commander then a dyno will probably be useful to get things set up properly.

leave all that stuff alone... stick with intake and exhaust... don't want to void the warranty for a couple of ponies... at least keep it stock until the warranty expires
