When camping out some years ago, a really big, hungry bear with long claws and fetid breath (which I remember all too well) decided to join me in my tent. Since the tent had flaps on both ends, I ran out the other end and jumped in my car. I let the bear have the tent, my cooler, my knapsack, my little brother and whatever else he wanted.

I was camping one weekend. I woke to the sound of breaking glass, ripping, then finally growling. I peeked through the flap of my tent and I saw a momma bear and her two cubs tearing up my camp site. My friends didn't lock up the food because they were drunk and forgot. Those bears ate all the food we had to last the week. What a mess it was. And very scary.

i was tubing down the Salt River in Phoenix with some friends and when we had to get out a walk a bit, i almost stepped on a rattlesnake. i jumped 3 feet straight up.
