The Stones have so many great hit songs that it is difficult to single one out. If I had to just choose one it would probably be "I can't get no satisfaction", released in 1965. The reason? It has all the hallmarks of the best of the Stones - a memorable riff, great vocals and a pounding beat.

I love the whole album, but my favorite is probably "Lovely Rita". It's an odd choice, but it's such a bouncy song, and I love the way McCartney delivers the vocals on it. Fantastic song, and Fantastic album.

She's Leaving Home.
I was lucky enough to see Paul McCartney perform it live on his last UK tour. He said he had never performed it live until that tour - it was sublime.
It was based on something he read in a newspaper about a girl running away from home.

The title track is my favourite one.
Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of the release of the album in the U.K.
