After 4 years of World War 2, no American were getting killed from bullets or bombs, yet theres been thousands of Americans killed after 4 years of the Iraq war. That's a simple fact. What will it take for conservatives to end this senseless war?

Yawn, for those to stupid to read, almost all Americans started dying in WW2 on December 7, 1941, but on December 7, 1945 , there were NO AMERICANS dying from bullets or bombs.

The Iraq war started on March 9, 2003, but here it is 4 years later, and Americans are STILL getting killed. With no end in sight.

I love how you conservatives trivialize the needless deaths in Iraq to the number of casualties in World War 2. So I'll use your WW2 comparision to show the deaths of the Iraq war are a number to be compared to zero.

Okay, so you are arguing that since no American soldiers were killed after four years of war in World War Two that it is a good comparison with the current situation in Iraq? Instead of using an analagy that makes no sense, World War Two involved nations that were easily identified and fought against; ie. Germany, Japan, Italy, etc. In the current conflict American and coalition forces are fighting an enemy more akin to what was faced during the Vietnam and Korean conflicts. Namely, faceless, unidentifiable enemies that blended in with the general populace, which made it impossible for the American and Allied forces to easily combat their enemies.

If you really want to make a cogent point, try comparing the current situation with Korea and Vietnam. Of course, this may cause some concern for Democrats, as both of those conflicts were started by Democratic Presidents, Truman and Kennedy/Johnson. Instead of labeling "conservatives" as the culprits for this senseless war, how about we lay blame on the political leaders as a whole. If I remember right, the Democrats voted for war along side the Republicans.

Don't give me the crap about the President lying, which he may have done, since all of the top Senate and House leaders were privy to the same intelligence. This occurs during closed intelligence briefings held on a weekly, daily basis as needed. As Americans we need to hold all of our leaders accountable, regardless of party affiliation or what Rush Limbaugh or moveon.org says.

Think for yourself and this country can truly be set on a new course, otherwise we are headed for the fate of the Roman Republic.

You had better review your numbers. Many more Americans died in World War II. A lot less were killed on American soil though. Maybe we should stay the course in Iraq so they don't killl you on your doorstep.

As other have already pointed out, your facts are wrong.

As for even comparing the two wars, the enemies in WWII were wearing uniforms (for the most part). In this war, the enemy is imbedded in society worldwide under disguise of normal clothing and political correctness.

Obviously, your math or history skills are pretty poor. More people, sadly, were killed each *DAY* in WW II than in the entire war on terrorism.

I have no problem with you being against the current war, etc. but at least get your facts straight. You lose all credibility with nonsensical statements like the above.

You are trying to make me believe that more Americans died in Iraq than in the entire World War II? I'm not that gullible.

Doogie, here's your question of two hours ago:

" Why do Conservatives hate Socialism but Love the Military?
Military people are mostly non productive parasites upon society, or are tools for warmongering Presidents, despite the propaganda otherwise. Military people get early retirement, free health care and the things that are the hallmarks of socialism which conservatives claim to oppose."

ARE YOU NOW SAYING THAT YOU CARE ABOUT THESE PEOPLE????????
