I typed the question in haste this morning. I meant "with" supper, although I know a friend who used to make a meal out of Guinness when he was broke.

I don't know about ungodly or immoral but one glass of wine WITH supper is suposed to be good for health. Its a basic of the mediteranean diet, which is one of the best.

and no, i don't think it's ungodly or immoral to have a glass of wine for supper as long as you don't get intoxicated....

No, not very healthy though. A glass of wine WITH supper is the way to go.

Not at all. Ben Franklin once said; I know God Loves Us, he gave us Beer!

Personally, I would drink a 8 ounce glass of grape juice every night. Gives the same positive chemicals as wine, but without the alcohol.

No it's not immoral or ungodly.

You may, if you wish, listen to people who consider their version of Christianity (or Islam or Hindu, etc et ) the only way, but you would only be a sheep - simple to lead around and without ever having to think for yourself. Listen to what they have to say, and equally important, listen to others, and then decide for yourself. God gave us freewill, and he gave us a mind. Use them both , and God bless you on your path.

For supper? or with supper?
Either way. if it IS ungodly, I guess I'm going straight to Hell.
Least I'll be happy when I get there :-)

No, it's not ungodly or immoral, in fact wine is good for you if you don't drink too much of it at one time.

How can it be? If someone says it is wrong, he is too strict and has no basis for it. jesus turned water into wine at a wedding at Canae, and Noah made wine the Bible says. One glass is not excessive, unless you are like Edgar Allen Poe who had no tolerance for alcohol.
