You order something online (a small business). You pay (Paypal). Your promise the item within 4 days. 10 days later still no item. You call, leave messages, email, and fax the company, and no responses. Does Paypal step in to recover the money, and how would you go about contacting the business and to let other's know, NOT to shop with them?

i would contact paypal and see what you can do, sounds like they are a scam if it was genuine and they had made a mistake they would phone you back and reply to emails saying sorry not just ignore you. something like this happened to us and we claimed it on insurance but i would give it a few more days and see what happens. good luck to you xxx and i hope it wasnt to expensive

Find out if another big company owns it so you can contact corporate to get your money back and paypal also does help recover your money but make sure you read paypals policy on that like ebay i think you have to allow 21 days of shipping or something like that! last resort just threaten the company with a lawsuit and theyll spit it out...

Contact the Better Business Bureau and/or the Federal Trade Commission.
Or, if you still want your money back, sign up for prepaid legal and have them send a letter. There's a monthly fee, but you get free legal advice over the phone and free letters (for situations like the one you're in), and if you happen to get in some legal trouble you get a certain number of hours of free legal representation.

contact paypal and see if there is some help they can provide you...outside of that you may be screwed.
