"The Secret" is just coincidental good fortune of a few people, well publicised. This makes it seem like it is common. It is not.
If a million people think they are going to win money in the lottery, some of them will, just by chance. If all the (few) winners go on TV and give their "positive thought" stories, it is easy to think that they represent the majority.
It sells more books and videos.
That is the real secret.

I seen the movie called "the secret" and the Internet is a tool to make ones intentions clear, by being positive you can influence the very universe and make your dreams come true, I'm not saying you can control your own fate but your destiny is in your own hands.
