:~)...that's a toughy! It comes with the knowledge that "it is better to not speak and be thought of as a fool, than to speak badly and be a fool for sure!"....(there's a saying similar to that) but the message is that it takes alot to to just "shut up" sometimes, and let the other person come to their own realization that they were not the better person, because they spoke in an ill mannered way.
Sometimes certain things that we want to speak up about, are really trivial, and they don't matter anyway. I've come to the conclusion that I don't have to have the last word, in all matters., and not to sweat the small stuff. If something is really important to discuss, then being the "better person" may have to be put aside, and this discussion, should be done in a way that you present your side, in a non -confrontal way, hopefully controlling your anger, and hopefully allowing the other person to see your point.
Just not being nasry and full of anger, may make you the better person, as it's not always possible to keep your mouth shut.

You learn so much by just listening. Choosing the right words and the opportune time to use them is often very beneficial and even rewarding.

hahaha....the moment some people open their mouth others wish they didn't have tongue or simply couldn't speak.they should better keep quiet.
