Yes, I read in this book that sperm quality starts to improve after you have stopped smoking.

male fertility nutrients
-beta-carotene: 10,000 units daily
-vitamin D: 400 mg daily
-vitamin E: 800 IU daily
-vitamin C: 1,500 mg daily
-vitamin B complex: 100 mg daily
-vitamin B6: 500 mg daily
-calcium: 800 mg daily
-zinc: 100 mg daily
And eat lots of live foods. Eat 3-5 servings of veggies daily. Beans that are in chili are good.
Avoid having rough sex and NO SEX TOYS! Because it can cause trauma to the male genitals and have some effect on fertility. Wear loose fitting underwear and pants. When your body gets hot your testicles lower a little to protect the sperm. And it rises when it is cold to keep the sperm alive. Also, eat a balanced diet. Being a vegetarian is not good for fertility.

Men who smoke have a 50% greater chance of being impotent--can't get it up then you can't ejaculate.
Smoking also affects the testes which in turn causes less sperm to be produced. And the sperm that is produced often has problems with being malformed. These malformed sperm will cause genetic defects in the baby.
The quality of the semen is also affected by smoking.
Once a man stops smoking his counts should return to normal within a few weeks but it can take up to 6 months to see full results because it takes nearly 3 months for a sperm to mature.
There are many vitamins that can help a man's sperm count and motility--b12, zinc, l-carnatine, vit e, vit c, and there are many specialty blends available such as fertility blend for men.

The affects of smoking is different for everyone, however studies have shown that low sperm count and low sperm motility have an adverse effect due to toxins in cigarettes and also on their lifespan. Studies also show that men who smoked also had far less sex drive than their non-smoking peers, but this doesn't mean that it will happen in your case. My suggestion to you is to have a semen culture done to determine exactly what the condition of your sperm is. Good luck!

Smoking cigarettes, ingesting alcohol, utilising drugs [the two complicated, or 'softer' ones which contain marijuana) . . . all of those issues can probably impression the traditional high quality of semen with regards to concept: motility, sperm count extensive type, morphology, etc. Even the nutrition a guy eats impacts its high quality. start defects—no, it won't bring about any start defects, even nevertheless it ought to point taking longer to get pregnant.

Although I do know several men who smoke and have perfectly healthy children. I think how long you have smoked and how old you are may affect how smoking affects your sperm.

I dont think there is a set percent. Everydoctor is different. My doctor in particular never informed me to quit while trying or while pregnant. I was 20 when I got pregnat with dd after trying for 2 years. I have Pcos and other infertility issues. It does somewhat infect the sperm but not dramatically.

Eat apples with cinnamin... Carrots... www.ovulex.com they have something ecle on that site for men. ask your doctor about clomid.

they reckon it does, but believe me, I have 5 children with my husband, and his brother has 7 with his girlfriend, and both the boys smoke, wear tight jeans, eat no vegetables and work in factories with chemicals and our 12 children are gorgous and healthy!

They reckon that no hot baths, no tight jeans or undies (boxers only) no smoking, no drugs, no stress all help but from the people I know whove got pregnant most the men have done nothing special. just lots of sex...

goodluck!
