We had our drive re-done so that it is now one solid slab with a pattern to make it look like flags (of cement, concrete or whatever they use) so that it had no gaps for weeds to grow through. Before that we just had to try and dig the weeds out from the gaps. You could also try filling the gaps with cement after digging out the weeds.

Weed Wands (gas flame weed killer) are only good for getting rid of weeds temporarily. The best thing to get rid of your weeds for good is a chemical called Glyphosate. It is a systemic weed killer, which kills from the root , thus preventing its re-growth. You can buy it on its own from Bio (the Baby Bio people), or it is contained in products such as Round-up - the only thing about buying the big makes like round-up etc is , you pay to much for the same thing! Once dry it is safe for children and pets to play on....but dont use it on grass though!!!!!!!

Try this:-
Kill individual weeds by pouring hot vinegar on them. This might take a couple of times to work completely. I would suggest this treatment for patios and paths.
Or alternatively, use white vinegar straight from the bottle to pour on the weeds and grasses that come up through the pavement. Pour on and leave for a couple of days. The weeds will die back and won't reappear for several months.

Add Ivory liquid dish soap to RoundUp. Mix it at about 1/4 Ivory to 3/4 RoundUp and spray directly on the leaves of the weed. The soap makes the weed killer stick to the plants, be absorbed through the leaves and will kill the roots of the plants. Good Luck

Herllo, use a Sodium Chlorate based weed killer, then nothing will grow for a year. There is no permanent way to kill wild life, but what I have suggested is not irreversable, should you decide later that you want to plant some flowers the following year. Hope this helps you.

Use Sodium Chlorate it's cheap and it works, mix with water following the instruction on the can, get it at most garden centers. Gas burners are a waste of time and money they only kill the top growth and that lasts for about a week.

You can't prevent them because the seeds blow in on the wind. All you can do is treat the area regularly. I use steam rather than chemical methods, its just as effective. 24 hours later when they're wilted I go round with an old knife and slice them out of the gaps. I also cut off any flowers when I see them so they don't set seed.

it incredibly is substantial to eliminate weeds until now they produce seed heads, or you will weeds for years yet to come again. yet once you could not get to them in time and your weeds are reproducing, attempt spraying them with products like backyard-Ville Weed Killer or Bioganic Weed and Grass Killer. the two products are environmentally friendly. For a organic pre-emergent, attempt WOW. It kills weed seeds until now they germinate, and is made out of a cornmeal byproduct. remember: while utilising pre-emergents, you will kill all seeds, which incorporate vegetables and plant life, so be picky approximately the place you unfold it.

Get Roundup I used on my Weeds and not only does it JUST kill the weeds it doesn't kill the grass to! it works really well. I know it's a chemical product, but I know what I'm talking about. Oh, and if you used it and it didn't work you probably didn't use enough of it!

Spray with vinegar. For extra strength add some orange oil extract.
Pour boiling water on them. How would you feel if someone did that to you. I'd die.
