Sounds like a bridesmaids dress, and it sounds cute to wear again.
I would call specialty cleaners in your area (not a chain) that does additional things like wedding dress cleaning, leather cleaning, etc to see if they do dyeing.
I would also call bridal shops and ask them about it.
Don't try on your own, you will ruin the fabric.

It sounds like the trouble I had when I went to prom in a light lime satin dress. The dress sounds beautiful. I'd recommend taking a swatch, or the dress to the florist and letting them help you decide. I think a nice white rose/carnation could be perfect with silk ribbons in apple green (the florist sometimes can dye the ribbon to match the dress) black, and a clear, glittery color to go along with the corsage. She'll look beautiful, I'm sure, no matter what you choose.

It likely won't work on a polyester satin.
Here are instructions from a typical dye product:
Suitable fabrics: cotton, linen, viscose and polyester/cotton mixes. Lighter shades on polyester mixes because pure synthetics DO NOT pick up dye

No joke, try visiting a laundromat (name??) that handles military clothing. Sometimes the GIs accidently bleach their uniforms and these laundromats can "repair" the bleached area with dye. Perhaps they can help you with your situation.
Also, try suring the Net for dress makers; they dye their dresses somehow.
Good Luck!

If you can't get it done by a bridal shope or a dry cleaners, they sell dye at most fabric/craft stores that you can use in the bath tub or washer.
