I was breast fed and did the same to my son.

There is evidence that shows children who are breast fed are healthier and more intelligent, and i definitely see that in my son...straight A student.

Do you think theres any truth in that, and were you breast fed?

There is a lot of evidence to support this and commonsense backs it up. The baby milk companies who spread their poison that their milk is superior to mothers' milk are unethical crooks. For years, babies in third world countries have suffered from malutrition in their most vulnerable years because it's there where their spam has worked best.

I breast fed my daughter and while she is very rarely ill she is not a straight A student. She had some difficulties in learning to read and because of this she got behind, she is still struggling to catch up. I on the other hand was bottle fed, I also am very rarely ill and I wasn't a straight A student either and that was not due to lack of intelligence, rather due to the fact that none of my teachers ever gave me any form of encouragement. My IQ level is quite a bit higher than the national average. So to answer your question, I do agree that breast is best but I don't think that it makes a significant difference to intelligence!

Can't see the connection myself. My children were all bottle fed and are healthy and intelligent. Surely there must be breast fed children, who are not intelligent or healthy . Your son is not a straight A student because he was breast fed. Just like my son is not a straight A student because he wasn't breast fed.
I wasn't breast fed and I hm intelligent and have a good job.

I would agree with the healthier part. I am not sure about the intelligence. I think that is more of a product of the genetics. If the parents are smart, chances are the child will be smart. I was adopted and I was not breastfed and I got good grades throughtout my school career. Also, I don't think a bottle here and there will hurt a child.

I was not breast fed and I also chose not to breast feed my child . For me I did not feel comfortable with it . However my child is very healthy had very little illness in childhood and is also a straight A student.

I think as long as you give you child a healthy nutritional diet that's the main .I would never knock someone else's choice to either bottle or breast feed .

I was breast fed and left school with 11 GCSEs.

I still love being breastfed - and am getting more and more intelligent from it.

YES!! I'm in totally solidarity with you madam. I even seek to breast feed as much as possible as an adult. I enthusiastically suckle- but nothing ever gets expressed aside from the usual moaning and groaning.
