I'm 16, and I also shave every 3 days. I used to shave every other day, but that made my face too sore... once I switched to every 3 days, my face was less sore, and the hair grew back slower. So, the less you shave, the slower the hair will grow. If you do shave every day, it's just going to come back faster and then you really WILL need to shave every day... so if you can bear it, keep doing the 3-day cycle. I don't like the 3-day cycle because on the third day my face is all stubbly, and flakey, and I think that it's pretty uncomfortable... but it's better than shaving sooner than that and having a sore face, plus having the skin grow back faster. So yes, I would say that this is "normal," because I have the same problem, but it varies for everyone. All I can say is that I WISH I was one of those people who barely had any body or facial hair.. but no such luck.

Max, I know you wanted a guy to answer your question, but I thought this would be a little helpful for you if you didn't want to shave everyday. Did you know that the new thing now for guys is getting their facial hair waxed? Yes, that's the new thing and I'll tell you why. After waxing, it takes about six weeks to grow back so you don't have to bother with the hassle of shaving and your skin is left with no irritations of razors. It's not for everyone, but just in case you'd like to try it. :)

If you don't like all the facial hair then you'll have to start shaving once a day or grow a beard (It's OK to skip a day if you feel lazy and don't want to shave!)

I'm 50 and shave every other day.
I avoided the every day all my life so that I would not have to shave daily.
Slow down and you will be like me.

it's not actually a problem. it's just normal. why not try waxing? it will make hair regrowth slower so you don't have to shave everyday. plus the hair will not be thick.
