I think the truth was that they never checked up on the children and know they have lied to the press and the Portuguese police to cover up their neglectful actions that (and previous) evening.
If the truth was to become public then their pleas for assistance would fall very much on deaf ears.
They have dug themselves a hole that will only get deeper.They cannot back track on what they have said and the fact is that through their neglect they have lost their child.
It must be awful to lose a child but inexcusable to allow the child to be put in so much danger.
They have never admitted that their actions were to blame and that for me is yet another inexcusable action.
They look as guilty as sin and I get the impression they know that we all know it as well

Jon Benet Ramsey was murdered 10 years ago at the age of six and her murder was never solved. Unfortunately, this may happen to the McCann's child.

I doubt they would have left their car keys lying around for someone to pick up. And if they had by some misfortune managed to lose their car I'm sure a whole squad of PI's would be on the case by now.

Basically i think that they are both very strange human beings. there is something so wierd about their facial expressions. and it irritated the hell out of me to see them smiling and posing for pictures for the papers. that made my blood boil. and as for their little jaunt off to see the pope (who, by the way, does not support ivf and so therefore wouldnt have even supported the creation of madeline) that just really made me mad. especially when they moaned about the heat!!!! oh boohoo...your child is missing for gods sake!!!!! get some priorites!!!

well lets hope it will be soon, it makes me sick to think of them swanning around europe in a private jet, and honest hard working people have given THEM money to do so. i wonder where they will jet off to next - a round the world tour maybe. they are child neglecting morons and should have their extended holiday cut to an abrupt end, and face the UK police for child neglect charges.
