I was the victim of a few bad acts by others, and then I was the victim of my own way of coping with those things. I guess I don't like feeling victimized, I believe any one can take back the power. Being a woman, using my body is the ultimate form of rebellion. I feel stronger physically, it helps mentally.

Victimization is a way of relating the past to yourself. If you chose to view it another way, you can learn from those things and stop being a victim. Victims are victims twice--once by the act, and then by themselves. You need to change your self talk and see you were not a victim, that some people are jacka*ses. Most of the things people do that are harmful are all about their own selfish feelings, and you were an available target. Now, you don't have to be. So don't be. Get those weeds out of your garden, talk to people you trust, and step by step take back the power.

Or you will victimize your loved ones with constant complaints and the tragedy that is your life.

I "was" a victim of a horrible crime. But i no longer dwell on it. I no longer see myself as a victim, but someone who has overcome the odds to make myself a better person and learn from it.

I do hate the fact that this happened - but....for me it made me more aware of things around me. Also I dont care how other people perceive me or what happened in the past...the past is gone. I still have a future to look forward to and its now that counts the most.

i hate being the victim for anything. i see victims being people who are weak. but when i became one my veiws did change but i dont want to let me stay as the victim forever. so i stood up to my fears, i learned as much as i could in life, and i didnt let anything hold me back after that. so yea people who are victims are weak but getting though it makes that victim stronger.

If you dont' tell anyone, then how would they know?...sometimes, in our quest for help, we bear our souls...but then, as you said, it can get used against us...the Bible tells us, never let the right hand know what the left hand is doing, so therefore, tell no one, and no one will have anything on you..God Bless
