Someone said this to my mom when I was a teen "you've got a pretty one...".We're black, is this an offensive term or no?..Was it just a compliment?What does this mean? She says it could've been I don't agree..

I don't see how being called pretty would be offensive, so it probably means they were complimenting you to make your mother happy.

It was a compliment. It simply means that they thought you were a pretty girl.

It was a teasing compliment because
some aren't.

it could be offensive if said sarcastically. she was probably just complimenting a mother on her child though.

well, pretty ain't judge by the skin colours...everyone is beautiful in the eyes of the beholder...fat also can considered as pretty too!
