The holucaust - or any genocide for that matter is something we should never 'get over'. This is why we need to learn from past mistakes in the history of the human race and so it won't happen again. Some families are still hurting from the effects of the holocaust; it was, after all only 60 years ago.

Yes they are. What do they want us to do about it? Do they want us to feel sorry for them? Do they want us to give them land and financial aid indefinitely?
How long do they wants Germans to be made to feel guilty? Should a 15 year old German feel guilty? Should they know about the holocaust? Yes - and believe me, they do.
One should never forget history but there does come a time were grudges have to be put aside. After all, if we all remembered all our histories with too much sensitivity we'd all go about hating each other.
It's important to remember, it goes without saying, but equally important to move on and understand that we are living in a new generation. Neither the Jews nor the Palestinians have been able to do that yet, sadly, and just look where they are.

Nope those of the Jewish religion have and should mourn and remember those horrific times. To imagine losing entire families, all your possessions, and your country just because a dictator names Hitler had a hair up his **** and decide the gene pool should all be blonde blue eyed.Well a coward he will be in the books of history via his suicide and in the history under the Jews you find words such as strength, faith, and morale values. This coming from a man who grew up in South Boston raised Irish Catholic.I think its time for those of us that want them to get over it need to focus on our own front yard, and martial law under Bush, detention camps being built under bush lies and manipulation of the press under bush.He kinda sounds familiar to someone....oh yeah Hitler.By the way did you know that Georges grand daddy was the wall street broker for Hitlers stocks up til the us gov. declared those funds frozen ?

Perhaps God was testing Christians to find out how many truly loved their neighbor and would come to the aid of those in need. Obviously they failed miserably. BUT, they have a second chance. I know they are working furiously to stop the genocide happening right now, today as we sit at our computers, in Darfur, Sudan!!! Hurray for the Christians!!!!

Unbelievable. I thought the question asking if it was true that Jews were really smarter was a stupid question. This one takes the cake. It's not only very stupid, it's completely insensitive and ignorant. You need to take your head out of your as*.

One cannot rightly paint an entire culture and race with the same brush. Many HAVE moved on with life. Others think it's not responsible to forget. But in any case... those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.
As for me, I love the Jewish race. I would have been one of those who were trying to save as many as possible.

Are Native Americans ever going to "get over" the Trail of Tears?
Are African-Americans ever going to "get over" the history of slavery?
Its kind of insulting to suggest that any body ought to just be able to just "get over" an attempt to wipe out an entire culture.

to be honest i don't think they are too sensitive...they are trying to keep the world informed of the way hitler got into power so we arent again led like sheep to an awful conclusion...compaired to blacks not getting over slavery...i think the jews are doing pretty good...they aren't asking for handouts...just informing generations of people about the horrific acts...imo
i am atheist so i couldn't care less about the religious aspect just seeing it for what it is...

the way millilons of jews were brutalised in concentration camps..its pretty much hard for them to get over it...but the new generation of jews should realise dat though what had hapened was wrong...but u cant base ur present on ur past...the ongoing israel-palestine proxy war also stops them from forgetting their past...but they need to grow over it...n let it not influence their present...

Sorry? It's still kind of a touchy subject. Due to the, um, mass murder and dehumanization of our people.
