definitely being single. being in a relationship there are many complications that can arise, which can get really complicated. however, having said that the single life is better than the relationship life, it is better going through life having been in a relationship because of what you get out of it

I'll pick being single for now. It seems that some people would rather be in ANY relationship than be single. When I listen to other women talking about their husbands or boyfriends, I realize that there are many in relationships that I just couldn't stand. It seems they can barely stand them either. I'll wait and hope for the 'right' one. and if not, then that's ok, too.

I think both situations have benefits.
Single: you can do whatever you want to do, you have totally freedom
relationship: there's someone to love and someone to do things with
depends what you want and who you meet, but I think you can't say being single or being in a relationship is better...

Depends on what you value more and where you are in your life. There are pros and cons to both:

Best thing about being single is complete freedom and not having to commit or be responsible for anyone but yourself.

The best thing about a relationship is companionship and security, and having someone there for you when life sucks.

Being in a relationship is way better. You get that sense of belonging and intimacy that we all need. You also get to step back from the relationship at moments and take a breather. There's notthing greater than having someone in your corner.

The answer to your question is relevant. Some people cannot cope without being with someone else. Being alone can cause you to become lonely.
But a friend once said to me...
It is better to say I am alone, then to say, I wish I was alone.
Which would you rather be. The person who feels lonely, or the person who does not want to be with the person they are with.

Different for everyone, however I prefer to be in my relationship. I have been in a relationship for nearly 7 years, married for 2 and couldn't be happier. It's nice to have someone who knows everything about you, and loves you anyway. You just have to find that person.
Interesting question :)
