I love the Philippines as it is the land of my birth and the home of my people. I love everything about the Philippines no matter what negative impressions others may have about her. People are born naturally, inherently, traditionally generous, hospitable (they welcome, entertain, feed, and do their best to make their visitors, even strangers feel at home and comfortable which you do not find in other foreign lands). In Philippine malls and department stores, you will find an assortment of imported products from different Asian countries as well as from Germany, UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and many others. Although it is considered a 3rd world country (which is now going to be a 2nd world country) you will find amazing and superb world class infrastructures and tourist spots.
What I hate about the Philippines ( I should not say hate, but rather, pity or sympathize) is the fact that it is being made the haven, refuge, hiding place and training ground of muslim rebels and terrorists from neighboring muslim countries especially Indonesia, and also those coming from other muslim countries like Iran and Iraq. These terrorists are harbored by the Filipino muslims in one of the regions in the Philippines.

I come from Singapore! But I'm living in New Zealand.
Singapore:
What I love is it is sooooooooo safe and the public transport is so convenient. I never realised how convenient and fast it is til I moved to NZ. And you can find food to eat outside anytime and it is safe!
What I hate is that it is too competitive and working/stdying is what you do til you die. Since houses are so expensive, we live in flats (pigeon coops) and there is nothing much to do.
New Zealand:
What I love about NZ is the frech air and nature! And studying here is a breeeeze. I can also get my own car, at 15 I can already drive!
What I hate about it is that there is no night life and transport is not readily available if the car isn't available. Also, it's kinda restricted cos I'm asian and there are a few racist people here. But it's all good!

Love: Unalienable rights-life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Free enterprise, freedom of speech, great economy, living places, transportation, education, footy stadiums, etc.
Hate: Bush, the war, our 'supposely' 'INABILITY' to help other countries. Pollution, crime, excessive power takes...

Philippines.
I love this country as it is composed of 7,107 islands. Having this, you can have at least 7,000 chances to get away from the people you hate on an island.
But then, there are politicians. And they are everywhere...
