Ultimately, I would end up voting for a third party or independent ticket but, with the candidates that have announced so far it would be former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel.

A little history on Mike Gravel:
"In 1971, he waged a successful one-man filibuster for five months that forced the Nixon administration to cut a deal, effectively ending the draft in the United States. He is most prominently known for his release of the Pentagon Papers, the secret official study that revealed the lies and manipulations of successive U.S. administrations that misled the country into the Vietnam War."

About his campaign:
"Gravel's campaign is based primarily on his ardent support for direct democracy (The National Initiative), but also emphasizes his support for a national sales tax and abolition of the IRS, immediate withdrawal from the war in Iraq, and a single-payer national health care system, and term limits during his campaign."

He is an old time politician from the days when politicians served the interests of the people not the corporations.

Right now....Right this minute....the election is being held and we have the choice of everyone who is currently running.

hmmmm....toughie. I'm a lifelong democrat, but, i do like Rudy Guilianni. He's a northeast republican which makes him a democrat to most other republicans in the south. :) But, I'm not completely sold as him our commander in chief.

I was a very big McCain fan in 2000 and if he had run as an independant then, I am certain he could of beat Bush and Gore. I think he time may have come and went though.

I dont like John Edwards. Never have. Too shwarmy for me.

I think I like Obama, but, a little too green behind the ears, right now.

So, that leaves HILLARY! I guess right now, I would vote for Hillary.

I am for whoever can come up with a REASONABLE way to draw us down from Iraq AND will make NATIONAL HEALTH CARE a must.

I should say my fave candidate of the whole bunch is Joe Biden, but, I dont think he has a chance.

I'm supporting former Senator Mike Gravel. Why? Because hes honest, intelligent, experienced, and has great ideas for solving many of our countries biggest problems. He wants to get us out of Iraq completely, he wants to abolish the federal income tax and replace it with the Fair Tax ( http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer ) and he wants to empower the American people to become lawmakers by using ballot initiatives at the Federal level. People in 24 states and over 200 communities across the country already make laws through ballot initiatives, and I think we should be able to do that at the National level.

Ron Paul

I'm voting for Ron Paul. He's always been against the war in Iraq (the only Republican who has), which shows that he has some foresight and ability move thoughtfully in foreign policy. And he's a staunch free-marketer, so he won't move us toward socialism. To me, that's the best of all worlds, so I wouldn't consider supporting anyone else.

It would be a toss up, It would be Hilary Clinton, or John Edwards, or Bill Richardson. I think anyone of these three would have the best chances of repairing the damages Bush has done to this Country, and in the World.
For the most part, even the worst Republican would do a better job than George W. Stupid.

It is too soon to decide. I certainly would not vote for any liberals, so that eliminates the entire Democrat line up.
