Paypal: what to fill in last name field when you don't have last name?

Question

I just tried sign up for a paypal account.
You see, since my name doesn't have any last name, I filled up NA in the last name field. (since the system won't let me to empty the field)

However, soon I realized i won't be able to withdraw money from this account, since the name in my bank account (which only contain my firstname) is not the same as ""+"NA"

Anyone having problem similar to this?
Any solution?

I did email the customer service, and no response after ard 1.5 weeks.

You will want to complete a name change. Let them know when you fill out the form that you don't have a last name. You may have to fax them a photo id as proof, make sure to use the fax cover sheet that you get when you complete the name change request online, and make your id a little larger and lighter before faxing. If you have already added your bank account they might ask for that too. Don't worry you are not the only person that does not have a last name, but unfortunately it is a little bit of a hassle to fix.

How to do this: log in to your paypal account, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on 'contact us', and type 'change my name' in the search field. A few common questions will come up the first one being 'Can I change the name on my PayPal account? ' click on this, then there will be a link at the end of the answer, it will say 'secure form'. Click on that and then follow the directions, you will have a chance to explain why you are requesting the name change. Make sure your computer is connected to a printer so you can print the fax cover sheet it gives you.

I agree that you should contact Paypal, it is up to them to supply a workaround.

You could try clicking on the lastname box and putting a single space in there. This might allow you to submit the form.

Paypal should sort this problem out. What if one of the Brazil football team wants to buy some stuff off ebay? :)

Have you tried emailing paypal's customer support team for advice ? It is after all THEIR system
