Without considering facial expressions. Can you really tell the truth just by looking into ones eyes. Even if you can't see the iris dilation or not.

I think you can tell alot about a person and what's going on with them by looking into the eyes. A person can be smiling on the outside but the eyes are sad and that tells you that person is hiding something that's bothering them or hurting them. Especially in the people you know. The eyes tell you what the person doesn't say outloud!

How can look into there eyes and not see their iris dilating. But yes the eyes are the key to the soul and I have looked into the eyes of a guy that killed 3 people he stare was absoultely cold like his eyes were a bottomless pit without any mercy.

That is unlikely. We unconsciously pick up on many physical cues and facial expressions are one of the primary ways we can learn about what a person is feeling. Even babies are hardwired to pick out people who seem happy and warm. Eyes alone cannot convey all we are really taking in when we say that the truth is in the eyes.

To an extent yes-
You can't tell the truth, but you can gain more understanding and awareness of peoples feelings than through just facial expressions in my opinion

They always say the eyes are the gateway to the soul. Eye contact or lack or it is sometimes a tell-tale sign of dishonesty.
