I just saw a photo of a woman and her face was awful. It was almost like blistered and bumpy like she had a disease and now i cant stop seeing it. Its like a constant screen saver in my mind and when my mind goes blank that sight pops up. And i start to think that she is standing behind me or that if i look in the mirror my face will look like hers or my feet will look like that and i have to keep checking mylsef? Does anyone else get things like this? Im sure it will go away soon but at the moment i feel really uneasy..

I stand still and its exactly like i am "scared stiff" i cant keep walking and i cant turn around so i just stand there all tense and try to think of good things so i can move again..

The memory is a wonderful thing. Your subconcious mind also. Right now the shock factor is keeping the image in your concious awareness. After a while, it will become like many of the other images you may have seen in your life and unless some song or smell or something triggers the recall of the memory... you won't experience it without trying to conciously remember it. We all know what our parents look like but until we talk about them or think about them...we dont see an image of them in our minds while we go about our lives.

Disturbing images can seem to get burnt into the mind, but - in general - mature people wouldn't bring it to the point where they then start making it "about them".
If you're young seeing this picture probably gave you a rude awakening of sorts when it comes to your suddenly realizing that this type of thing exists in the world. If you're young, you're turning into being about you. If you were mature you would feel overwhelming compassion for someone with such a condition, but if you're young you're doing what a lot of immature people do, which is to start thinking about yourself and whether it can happen to you. It can be pretty sobering to go through life and not think about some things and suddenly become aware that such a thing exists and happens to some people.
Maybe, too, you have so much empathy for her you're trying to put yourself in her place but not quite dealing with it correctly.
Did you happen to see Beauty and the Beast, in which the handsome young prince treated the ugly, old, woman so poorly (and so she turned him into the Beast to teach him about being a better person)?

When I was young I used to wonder why people's eyeballs didn't dry up and shrivel. My Mom told me that, by blinking,we kept our eyes moist and therefore unable to shrivel. This revelaton cause me to forceably blink for years as I became aware of the necessity for blinking. I was afraid I would forget to blink and consequently go blind...with dryed shriveled eyeballs.
Yeah, that woman's got it bad. Sucks to be her...good to be you. You're ultimately afraid of your own mortality. Don't worry though, I can absolutely guarantee you that you're going to die someday. 1 in 7 says it's a Tuesday.

O of course man... stuff like that is freaky, but obviously not real... what would scare me from time to time is that dead chick from the grudge... when I'm alone I sometime think she around me or I think I'm gonna hear that noise she make... but yea you just got to think of good clean thoughts.. That's the best and be around people too lol

yeah things like that happen to me quite often actually and after reading your question my imagination is starting to picture that same image you described. it usually takes me anywhere from a few hours to a couple weeks before those mental images go away.
