No. There are too many reasons for war. Most wars are started by people who already have plenty but want more; i.e, greedy kings and dictators. However, a warmonger needs an army, and armies have historically been filled up by people who are poor and unemployed. In affluent countries like the U.S. and those of Western Europe, people are reluctant to give up their comfy life to go out and live in a ditch and get shot at. If everybody was as fat and happy and hedonistic as the U.S. it would be pretty hard to start a war.

Of course not. If I had enough to get by on, then when Joe from across the street brought home a new car, and Sam next door brought home a new boat, and Carl got a new motorcycle, I'd still be jealous. You cannot please everyone, so don't even try, you'll just end up making more people angry at you.
