Probably because they just got off work after a long day at a job the hate or at job surrounded by people they dislike.

I don't know about cranky people but there are some nasty people on here tonight. Specifically "Skinhead Charlie." I see he has spewed his venom by answering your question too. I hope Yahoo boots him soon.
I went to every one of his questions and reported him on each one. I am now going to every one of his answers and doing the same thing.

I'm not sure about other people, but I'm not too cranky, I'm actually nicer the later it gets! i think other people just become delirious at a certain point, making them jerky.
