If you see your doctor there is a pill they can give you which will delay your period. I think you start taking it a few days before it is due.
Can i just say I don't mean 'the pill' I'm well aware you would need to start taking that a long time before to delay period. I mean another type of medication, the same as Holly describes, that will delay your period. And yes, you do only need to take it a few days before to delay that specific period and then you stop taking it. It is not birth control.

You would need to be on the pill for far longer than a month in order to get regulated enough to affect when you have your period. When you first start using the pill it takes a few pill packs to get your cycle on track with the pill.
(You don't want the depo shot. too many bad side affects. also there are class action lawsuits against Pfizer for the shot)

There are so many other medications that can help you. Some make your period come only a few times a year! But, I wouldnt personally take them. Your mentrual cycle is something natural to get rid of what is no longer needed in your body. Just see your doc before you take any kind of medication.

After i had one of my sons th doctor told me to take motrin. Ibuprofin almost puts the flow to a stop. It doesn't stop, but it sure slows it down and makes it easier to control. For some women the depo shot for birth control stops your period completely, but also ther are women who bleed at least a little everyday until the shot wears offs. Maybe you'd be part of those that stop, if not motrin in double doses.dear. have fun on vacation.

If you take the injection instead of the pill you don't have a period for 3 months (thats how long the injection stays effective for until you take it again). And it starts working as soon as you take it. Ask your doctor abut it
