Is it system FAT 16 only available at Windows 98? How i can get it from Windows XP Professional?

Windows XP does support FAT16. However, FAT16 will only allow up to 4GB of partition. I'm assuming you are trying to format a portable flash device? When you goto the format dialog choose "FAT" rather than "FAT32". Which I understand is FAT16. If the option is not available to you by Windows, perhaps you could try using DOS booted from a CD to format the device, the device should be visible by your BIOS, but I'm not certain if it will.

I don't think FAT 16 has been used since, well, 16 bit systems - windows 3.1. Windows 9x use FAT32, and XP uses NTFS (or FAT32 as an option)

XP pro uses fat 32 and ntfs. Why would you want fat 16?

Fat 32. Go to command prompt, and type convert help.
