Depends upon the law and the reward for breaking it as well as the risk of getting caught. Would not break a piddly *** law like running a red light or stealing a pack of gum.

Depends... Run a red light at 2am after stopping and looking both ways (no cars in sight) - absolutely. Your question is too broad. I have tinted windows and no front license plate in CA. I knowingly break the law and HOPE to get away with it. If I KNEW I would get away with it, breaking laws (which I already choose to break), would become easier. Now if you are talking about something immoral, my answer would be - absolutely not.

First of all traffic lights are there for a reason, you may not know why a specific light is there but believe me when you get the accident you will know why.
That is the same reason you shouldn't cross the white line, before the red lights, even with an inch becasue if you do there is a specific situation that may cause an accident

No........only criminals take those stolen opportunities. Anybody that says yes and is decent folks... deep down knows you can never get away with anything like that....it would at the least bother your conscience.
Only criminals will take an opportunity like that......decent people don't have thoughts of stealing some kid's bike because no-one was looking. Get real with yourself..it doesn't happen for average citizens that respect the law.

No... Never...
Its a matter of principle, right and wrong, good and bad... almost all of the laws in place are for a reason, to protect society. Now, in the case of an unjust law, oh hell yeah i'd break it.
But, as for just laws, no... Just because I can get away with it doesnt make it right.

One mile over the speed limit, is breaking the law.
Have you copied a copyrighted movie or audio cassette?
Complete stop at that right-on-red?
What about that stop sign?
How about that exhaust on your car? Does it meet emissions standards? Noise standards?
Got your kid in the appropriate car seat?
Tag, driver's license, and inspection sticker up to date?
Do you allow underage drinking in your presence?
Completely forthright on your tax return? Did you report ALL income?
How about prescription medicines? Ever borrowed a friend's prescription painkiller or sleeping pill?

Nope, probably would have even just a few years ago, but now I actually think about the fact that there ARE reasons that we have laws and thus I try to follow them.

The conscience is a funny thing. No one might be around to ever know that you broke any law, but you will know and unless you have no conscience, you would be troubled by your actions sooner or later.

No, because I wouldn't really "get away" with it. I would know that I did it, and I would know that God was watching when I did it. I would rather not live with guilt... I sleep better that way.
