It is just a figure of speech. You could just as easily say"you have got up in a bad mood this morning,haven't you".Same as do you always sleep on the same side of the bed.I get out of the side that is nearest.Doesn't apply if your bed is against a wall though.

Now, if your bed is up against the wall, then there is definitely a wrong side of the bed, and if I know if i got out on the wrong side, i wouldn't be in a very good mood...hehe
