My ryobi batteries will not charge. I have three, one is good and two I left on the charger for a few days plugged in. Is that bad for the batteries or charger? Now the green light with the yellow light comes on, never charging the batteries. Are the two batts bad, or could it be the charger?

Thanks for both answers. I'm afraid I may have overcharged my batteries, for they worked fine until I left them on the charger overnight.

Unless your unit says or will not "Overcharge" the batteries, I went out of my way to get one like this, a De Walt, you could be in trouble.
All of the older models are like this and, some of the cheap ones. You have to be careful. Most of the newer ones cannot be overcharged, they're protected against this. Thank goodness to the Gods of carpenters for their forgetfulness.

I was always doing this and, at the price of a battery $45.00 so, I went out of my way and did the right thing. I bought all new ones that can't be overcharged.
Stay away from the brand "Michigan" tools, a hint. They're cheap and won't last.

Ryobi is really bad with batteries, I've "overcharged" a few I had a while back, and they never worked for me, and the batteries don't last but about 100 charges with Ryobi.. its a cheap brand, and you barely get what you pay for with them..
Craftsman, or DeWalt are two good brands (craftsman with lifetime warranty on tools) DeWalt just lasts forever, havent had a problem with any of my DeWalt 18 volt power tools in 4 years
