If you haven't missed any pills since you started taking them, and take them at relatively the same time everyday, then it's very doubtful you are pregnant. They are 99% effective when used properly. Birth control pills commonly cause breast tenderness. However, it's not impossible for you to be pregnant. There are people who have taken the pill correctly and still gotten pregnant, so the only way to know for sure would be to take a pregnancy test. In some women they don't get the tender breasts until later in pregnancy, while others notice it right away. Everyone is different. So I would just go to Walgreens or CVS or some other drug store and pick up a pregnancy test. Like I said, if you have not missed any pills and take them at the same time everyday, it's unlikely you are pregnant.

If you haven't missed any doses of your pill, chances are VERY VERY slim that you could be pregnant. Many birth control pills contain the same hormones your body secrets during pregnancy and can cause feelings of fullness or soreness in the breasts. As your body becomes more accustomed to the pill, you may notice those symptoms subside.

It's not one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. Quite a bit later, and many more symptoms inbetween conception & tender, sore nipples.

the pill and hormones are likely causes. As is ovulation (mine are sometimes sore around ovulation.

Less likely: Irritant in your clothing and/or laundry detergent. Don't panic just yet. :-)

Possibly, but these sypmtoms can be caused by hormones too. Don't worry just yet.
