I can never remember to take my pill, even though i have a daily reminder alarm programmed in my cellphone to remind me. whenever it goes off its always at an awkward or inconvenient time, and then i just dont remember to take it later. in the past its been ok, but recently i forgot for 3 days in a row and it caused me to start my period early. does anyone have any tips on ways to remember to take my pills? or if you have any suggestions for a different treatment that is easier to remember?

Put it next to your toothbrush or underwear drawer in plain sight. If you brush your teeth every morning or put on underwear, you'll know to take the pill. You can try the ring, but if you forget to change it it can have serious consequences. Talk to your doctor. There are a lot of options, like implants (I know, gross but whatever), DepoProvera, and IUDs.

Change the time that you take your pill. Try taking it right before bed, or right after you get up in the morning. Find the most convenient time for you. I take mine at 6PM, since my work schedule rotates and I am never home at the same time. I bring the pill with me on the days I am going to be away from home at that time.

take it first thing in the morning when you get up. You go take a shower/brush your teeth and the like? Leave the pack by the sink.

If you're afraid someone will see it, leave it in your underwear drawer (along with a bottle of water). That way, unless you go commando, you'll always remember to take it.

Ask your OBGYN about a different kind of birth control. You know the ones that are implanted and lasts for months? That would seem to work better for you.

Set it for a consistent time that you are awake and not busy, perhaps when you first wake up in the morning or when you go to bed at night.
