Foreign coaches are more professional in their work unlike Indian coaches who tend to create biases and partiality's in the team. Also to cater to modern day cricket, coaching for which involves adapting modern coaching techniques, using video/computer analysis for improving players performances, studying the opposition,But unfortunately none of the Indian coaches are qualified in that aspects. So a low profile foreign coach will be better suited.

Once again it all depends on how the players take to the coach. It does not really matter whether he is and indian or a foreigner.
First of all players should respect the coach.
Since he is a coach he knows about the game more than you.
He is your guru, your mentor.
He is there to teach you what you dont know and to perfect all that you already know.
Language is not an excuse as most of the players can understand english. As since he is only going to improve what you already know language should not a issue at all.
If this this really happens the players will definately improve their skills and the coach will also feel happy that his coaching is bearing fruit.
Now, what is really happening here is the players do not really respect the coach, and as the so called senior players are most of the time not available as they are busy modelling for ads. Many new and junior players who train under the coach are finally not selected because first preference is give to the senior players even though they have not had enough practice.
Party, politics also has major hand in the selection of th indian team, because of which a lot of talented players are left out.
Also the captain of the team feels that he knows more about the individual players and as such he feels he in not obliged to listen to the coach and because of this there is no co-ordination in between the coach and the captain which is not at all healthy for the team.
So, all put together there are too many cooks to make the indian soup. And since there are so mank cooks you are bound to end up making a mess and thats what is happening.

You can't say. It's said so because foreign coaches have better experience in their land. But remember even if Mohinder Amarnath coaches any other country, he'll be known as a FOREIGN COACH. Same if even a Bermudan cricketer coaches.
Even i think that many were not tried at this WC. How do you know the reason Rahul might have thought?
Its good if u leave it up to Rahul & selectors to select the 16s 15s, 14s, 13s (squads) and the 11s(XIs, line-ups).

Yes I agree with you..A foreign coach will bring out a better result for us....The players must understand it and give full co-operation for the coach so that our team will be the best.....

By appointing foreign coach, they see to that their country win and not the country which they are coaching for,so its high time to avail the potentials ONLy when needed

I agree with you in all aspects expect that Dravid had dropped Karthik.
I'm sure he would never do that.He may be dropped in order to make place for Sachin or Saurav.
The result would have been different if we had dropped both Sachin and Saurav and included two new faces.

yes,you are right.foreign coach gives better results.moreover they gives chance to younger players whereas an indian coach depends totally on star players.but our players as well as foreign coach needs to maintain a good relationship only then they could succeed.
