I'm moving to a new school, but every one has tons of skills at this school like tieing knots, beat boxing, hacking, photo shop skills, dancing, one kid has a gun, acting, running and they all have really nice phones.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. alot of ppl are "late bloomers" with their talents. just allow yourself to be open to a lot of possibilities, especially with school activities. you'll get to know more people and maybe even a great new hobby.

Hey, the first step to change is being dissatisfied, right?

Here's some dad advice:
Stay away from the kid with the gun at all costs, they are trying to prove something (consider talking to someone you trust about it, there is no good reason to have a deadly weapon - get them some help discretely). Don't envy the phones or other posessions, a cool phone is not a mark of anything except their parents level of debt tolerance.

Okay, here is some friend advice for you:

You can get skills in *anything* you are interested in. Figure out what you like, what you have fun doing - and just do more of that. You'll get skills.
Not sure what you like or how to get started? Volunteer for things and just show up with a good attitude. If you spend some time this summer helping build houses, or repairing things for neighbors, or working at community theatre, or helping kids learn to read - you will be amazed at the end of the summer what *maddddd skills* you will have gained.
Get up and do something instead of worrying what you don't have - help someone else. You'll feel really great, you'll have some amazing stories to tell, and everyone will envy *you* because of what you have given back to the community.

Best of luck to you and your very bright future.

You just have to find something that interests you and stick with it. Even if you're not good at it at first, you could still become great at it. Many people spend their whole lives trying to find their God-given talent, but a lot of times, they're not even looking in the right place. So the only way to find out is to try new things.

As for people having nicer things, it happens to everyone. Even the richest person in the world will find someone with something nicer than them. Just make friends that don't care if your phone isn't as nice as their. If they care about small stuff like that, then they're not really friends.

I didn't know owning a gun was a skill. Go buy a crossbow or flamethrower. Those are more interesting! But uhh...don't bring it to school.

Pick up some skills as school is a place to do so!
