My Maytag dishwasher is making a very loud grinding/buzzing noise. It begins a few minutes into a cycle (any- I've tried all of them, even just rinse). I know that it is not a normal noise, as it has just recently and suddenly began...Any ideas on what the problem may be??? any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have you lost a cat recently? Just kidding...I would check and see if anything may have gotten into the motor, but really, you should call the manufacturer and see if they can help you.

My dishwasher does the samething. I think it has something to do with the wiring. I would deffinatly check it out. that is what happened with mine. infact I smelt something burning after a while hearing the grinding and buzzing. I let it go for weeks. I was stupid for that. there was a open live hot wire in my sytem.

sounds to me like a piece of bone got into the wrong area and is rubbing....or could be it got caught in, under or near the belt....or, something is rubbing somewhere. Get in there and take a good look with your flashlight. Turn on the noise and determine exactly where the noise is. Maybe even look at a schematic of your machine and determine what part it could be affecting. If it's in the back you might or someplace you can't reach you might consider calling the repairman.

Probably the water pump or sprayer motor. Open the door, clean out out the filter, and other removable parts, you may have a grinder in there. But that is probably not the problem. Do you have any water leakage?
