Do you parents/teens think myspace is safe or can be safe. Tell me why please. Also, tell me why it can be dangerous.

It can be a safe place to meet online friends, but on the flip side, it can be a dangerous thing if you put too much personal information about yourself on there. Especially for younger people. Never list where you live, or anything personal. If you are young, I do not recommend posting pics of yourself, so forth. My kids both have a myspace. My daughter is 22 so she can pretty much put what she wants, but there is nothing on her space that could lead a psycho to her door. My son is 15 and he has one, it's all about science and animation and inventions. He has no pics of himself. He shows a wolf as his avatar. If you think first, it's safe. Parents however need to guide their kids on using myspace and show them the safe way and the wrong way to use it. We are after all responsible for our children.

I'm not a teen or a parent but my mom and my teenage sisters all have a myspace and their pretty safe. i think its only dangerous, for people (adults or kids) who don't know how to behave.

it can be dangerous if you give out your last name, where you live and or what school you go to. it can also be dangerous if you talk to people about some personal stuff and you barley know that person what so ever. but if you don't want people that you don't know chatting with you, you can put your myspace on private. good news is that ratted out alot of sick people who rape kids, but dont let your gaurd down....

well as long as you don't add anyone or talk to anyone that you don't know, and if you don't give out soo much info, then it's pretty safe.
