So my bro and me decided to melt wax on the stove using a pan.... not the brightest idea (we know so you don't have to tell us) anyways, anybody got any good ideas to how we should clean the wax from the counter/stove top/pan/spoon?
We can't think of any idea other then just rubbing and water and some soap. Our mom will kill us (or just yell) if she sees, so we can't go somewhere and get it. (plus its like 12:30 AM)

Get a plastic scraper (a phony credit card will do) and scrape off as much as you can. Then, use a degreasing cleaner like Dawn or Formula 409 on the counter/stove top. area. Replace the paper towels as they get wax on them so you don't spread it around. To finish the job, use a window cleaner like Windex and clean paper towels.

Scrape out the pan and spoon with the plastic scraper, dumping all of the wax into the trash. Then wash with hot, hot water and Dawn. The wax will melt off and the Dawn will keep it from plugging up the sink.

Never melt wax in a pan without using a double boiler. It could start a major fire, which would get your Mom even more angry!

Run the pans and spoon under scalding hot water until it runs clear, then wash out with an old sponge and soapy water. Just chip off the wax on the counter with a spatula and wash as usual. Good Luck! :)

I used a blow dryer on medium heat, as the wax melts, wipe with a towel, then use hot water and soap to clean the residue.

take a brown paper bag you get from the grocery store, put it on top of the wax get your iron and turn it on and place it on top of the paper bag, the wax will melt onto the bag, you'll use alot of bags depending on the size of the wax stain. It worked on my leather couch, and carpet.
