General burn care. You can get colloidal burn dressings at the drug store; or use antibiotic ointment & a non stick dressing. Try to not disturb the new skin as it forms or it will scar worse. Ice will also help pain. You may hyperpigment or scar anyway, can't be helped, but can be minimized with good burn care.

There is a product that I believe is called NEW SKIN and it was created especially for burns. From what I remember, for a new burn, there are special burn pads that are treated with an antibiotic. The pad is formulated to not adhere itself to the wound. Believe me, that is something you must be very careful of - if dressing gets stuck to the wound you will not be a happy camper.
For now, I would put Neopsporin (they have a formula with an additive for pain) and either leave a loose dressing or use a non-adhering dressing. Good luck...burns take forever to heal but if you take proper care it should not leave a scar.

It has happened to me both with a soldering gun and with a hot glue gun.
First recommendation, put under running cold water. I held my hand under cold running water for half an hour. I think it is officially recommended to do it for 10 minutes. It eases the pain and reduces swelling.
Second, examine to determine the extent of the damage. If it has just resulted in blistering of the skin, you can treat it with burn cream [it helps minimize scarring] or hydrocortisone cream. Apply a non-stick gauze. Administer an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprophen or Tylenol.
If the burn is more serious, third degree or more serious, get to the emergency room of the hospital. Don't remove burnt clothing, don't immerse large burns in cold water, cover the burn with wet towels. SEEK MEDICAL HELP.

when you get burn immediatly place the burn area in plain running water or a bucket filled with water. keep the area under water untill the burning has stop when u take your hand out of the water . This might take up to over a hour depending on the severity of the burn. You will be amazed of the results. This simple solution prevent a large blister from forming and also cancel the pain of the burning feeling.
Good luck on your souldering!!

first the pain.
get a freezer bag and fill it with ice. hold it on there until you feel its too cold. then decide how bad it is. Don't take chances
with burns. see the Dr. If its not too bad use hemorrhoid cream or lanacain to take out the swelling and the burning. keep icing it as well. It wouldn't hurt to put some neosporin on it and bandage lightly to keep dirt out and yet let the air get to it to dry it out....hope it wont scar but maderma could help with that.

welp BOB-this is prob a bit late to help you now but in the future if you touch yourself while soldering bring the iron tip as close as you can to the "wound"-hold it there as long as you can and pull it away
believe it or not the hot from the iron will pull out the hot on your burn out and you will heal in a timely fashion

Aloe plant. It's called the "burn" plant. If you don't have one most drug stores carry it in a gel form. You should be able to find it, cause it is sold alot for sunburns. If it is a real bad burn, you may need to see a doc to keep infection out, or use antibiotic ointment first. Good luck.

Put ICE on it NOW to stop the burning process.
Take plenty of vitamins for the next few weeks to support healing.

Bactine, Solarcaine now, if the skin is broke, anti-biotic cream, good clean dressing (change the band-aids) couple times a day.
