How do Democrats plan to fight terrorism after we leave Iraq?

Are we just going to hope it doesn't happen again. What's the Democrats plan?

They don't have one. Even if they did they wouldn't stick to it, they'd change their minds as soon as the wind blew.

Democrats are going to secure the borders, they will utilize the troops and the military to guard and hunt down any illegal that has entered our borders without any checks in thier backround , health record, criminal record, terrorist affiliation, and so on and so forth, to be sure the country that pays them for all their work is secure. The Intelligence having learned from past experience will be responsible for making sure that the warnings they issue are no longer ignored, and that the president is grabbed up by the nap of his neck and made to do the job of reading all possible threats aimed at the United States, and is to do what is necessary to counter any possibility of terrorist actions towards the United States, not push them aside and decide that thier hunting or fishing trip is more important than taking the threats to our Country seriously. The military can stop any possibility of a war being engaged on our soil, but they must be here to do it. Fighting a civil war in a country that we are not a part of doesn't stop the threat of war in the U.S. it is just opening the borders to anyone who wants to station and set uo a terrorist headquarters to strike at a future time. They can bid theri time, we have no security, our security is in Iraq. The Democrats get it, we don't just see the tree, we look to the forest, and the forest is showing us our future, we can defeat a tree, we can't defeat the forest, and that in lies the threat. Look beyond your nose.

First off, it's not just the 'democrats' that are going to have to deal with these various terrorist 'mafias'. Beside that, there can never be one single 'plan'. To deal with some groups will require hard intel as to the location of covert operatives. Once located they have to be captured or killed. Not easy, but doable. To deal with the finances of these groups will require another 'plan'. That plan will require the co-operation of banks that now get away with being money laundries. Co-operation may well have to be 'forced'. Again, doable! Dealing with state sponsors of terror groups will have to be either subtled and covert, or overt...such as air attacks on essential infastructure or on the personal holdings of certain individuals. When Bill Clinton bombed the 'asprin factory' it sent a message to one of the most powerful men in Sudan.....nothing you own is safe! Sudan stopped supporting terror for a long time after that. Be not afraid...'terrorism' may never totally cease, but nobody is going to allow it to flourish either...no matter what the right wing talk show nitwits tell you!

i'm a democrat, and that i think of we would desire to continually wait and spot what plans they'd have for the go out from Iraq. I think of we can't see those plans until a democrat President is elected. i've got self belief that the disagreements between the dems and repubs are infantile.......shall we get plenty stored removed from those dividing lines. yet for the period in-between, we can would desire to observe and wait...and want we don't crucify one yet another attempting to realize a happy medium.

They don't plan to. When we leave Iraq, all the Arabs will hold hands and sing songs around a camp fire. Everyone will be friends and there will be no more war in the region (since it is our presence there that is the main cause of it all).

The Republican plan of sending the military to occupy Arab soil for the purpose of baiting all terrorists to the region to fight them there instead of here, isn't working too well. Terrorists 3500 kills- USA 100 kills, if that.
If there were no US military on Arab soil, there would not have been a 9/11 or USS Cole bombing or World Trade Center bombing. We opened military bases in Saudi Arabia to support the '90 Gulf War, but after the war was over, we reneged on our promise to Saudi Arabia to close them.
After 9/11 President Bush 'saw the light' and closed those bases. Now, if we pull out of Iraq and finish our business in Afghanistan, there is no more cause for terrorism in our country.

You remember Bin Laden, right? The guy who's responsible for the largest terrorist attack on American soil? The guy that Bush now says "is not important". The guy still releasing all those videos? The guy who's basically the worst terrorist there is?
Are the Republicans protecting you from him? Did they protect you from him on 9/11? Did they get him after it? Considering what Bush said about him, do they even CARE?
