Downstairs under a void or a table. also if there are not a lot of trees, buildings, or powerlines you are propible better to be outside.

I think you could just take your chances anywhere, if your in an earthquake area that has the proper precautions for earthquakes, maybe its best to be on a ground floor under a table. thats what i would pick.

I would say that whatever floor you are on, you need to lie down next to something very strong, like a bed or a couch. That way, if the roof falls in, it will not crush down on you; the bed/couch will have absorbed the shock, and there will be a pocket of space for you to fit. Same goes with cars when in a tunnel.

Unless you're in an Earthquake hardened building..... best to get outside and stand in a clear open area, away from buildings and telephone poles.

Neither!

Grounfloor, faster exit to open space. Second or upstair. They might get to you alive if in case. If not, you still get dug up earlier that the folks, on the first floor.

downstairs...because if the building structure thing collapses...hmmm but then the second story would fall on you..
but what i do know is that the bathroom is the safest place to be in an earthuquake
believe it or not its acutally the strongest room in the house
but i would stay closer to the ground
