Do you not think that the new piece by Damien Hirst ,The Platinum Skull encrusted with Diamonds is a wonderful piece of conceptual art. I think that it's one of the finest pieces ever produced and I freely admit I'm not an art lover but....Damn

Frankly, I'm not all that impressed.
The artist calls it, “the maximum celebration you could make against death”.
I call it morbidly resurrectionistic and a violation against the sanctity of death and the "rest in peace" deserved of those having passed on.

there definitely are pieces of art that don't make a bit of sense to some ppl...and not all ppl will agree with all art...this is an interesting piece of art...I love art..my oldest son is an artist..he has a friend w/MS and his friend let my son draw a print of his MRI..of his brain..and it is a great piece of art!

i think it's a peice of crap waste of money, the money could have gone to fare better things then some diamonds in the shape of a skull. which is now going to be sitting in some showcase behind glass.

no i think its a beautiful(though slightly morbid) piece of art he did not disfigure it he just showed how beautiful the human body really is even after death and decay
