Intentionally? Yes. When I was a kid, my mother and brothers died. I was being beaten by my alcoholic father, who later killed himself. There was molestation and abuse. I went through a cutting and self-mutilation phase. I felt that I was at fault for a lot of the things adults did around me. Somebody had to pay for all of those horrible things, and I decided that it was me. I didn't see anybody else lining up to pay the penalty for their acts, so I did. Later, in high school, I got help, and I don't do that anymore.

Don't tell yourself that you are fat. That does not help. From what you said about height and weight, you are not really fat. A lot of people may be skinnier than you, they also may be shorter. They may have smaller bones. There are plenty of people fatter too. Maybe you're clothes make you look fatter, if they are really tight and clingy. Certain styles work on only the thinnest people- not the general public. I am fairly thin but certain things make me look fat, like too tight jeans and too tight shirts. You don't have to dress in baggy clothes but you can find clothes that complement you're body. If you are concerned, talk with a doctor and/or nutrionist. I know that when I was in 8th grade, I started to develop an eating disorder. Every one seemed to be thinner and all. No one really knows this besides my parents and a couple friends. I had to go to a special doctor. They basically told me that I no longer had any right to plan my own meals. My parents would have to be in charge. You do not want to go there. I cried for so long (at the appointment) and that made it worse. My parents decided to give me another chance and I took it. It meant plenty of tummy-aches though. To gain weight after losing so much, you have to eat lots extra. People also start to ask about you're weight when you start to get real thin. Please try to not cut yourself. It's not a healthy idea. You are 13 and you still have plenty of opportunities ahead of you. That includes more opportunities for boyfriends. If he was cheating, he isn't worth being with. Remember that there are plenty of other guys. Also, generally speaking, they mature slower then girls (sorry guys!! Just my observation). I hope this helps. I am not some adult trying to push you in some direction. I am 17.

To be honest, yes and it was for a bad reason too. It was last winter, I just got two emo friends. We were the only friends each of us had in one of our classes, so us three would always hang out. One week they started excessively talking about their recent cuts. I felt a little left out and what do teens do when they feel alienated? Change the way they really are, that's what! So I gave myself a few wrist slits just to impress my friends. In a way, I way mocking their culture. >sigh<

since you courageously admitted it, I'll follow suit. I have done it, and I'm in no way proud of it.
You're absolutely right though, no one can say its stupid, selfish of vain until they've been to the point where they feel that broken down.
Somtimes life is the cruelest thing to face and you just can't get thru. It's not my proudest moment, but it's truth.
:o)

I understand. And yes I did. I'm not afraid to say so. But I don't anymore. The reasons are my own.

yes I have, but it was thumbs that I would cut- and I was very, very young when I did that, later on it moved up to scratching my face like rips up and down.
I am Bi-Polar, it causes me to out of mind sometimes, but now I'm on meds that "usually" keeps me on the right track!

I never cut myself but I almost pierced myself with a knife by putting it to my chest when I was younger.
